13th Annual South Beach Wine & Food Festival Coming to Town

If the thought of dining over a meal prepared by a celebrity chef has you salivating, here is your chance. The 2014 South Beach Wine & Food Festival will arrive in Miami Beach in February, but if you want to secure your seat, now is the time to do so. Ticket pre-sales began exclusively for MasterCard holders in early October. Tickets become available for the general public to purchase on October 21.
This celebrity-studded event is presented by Food & Wine and will take place February 20th through February 23rd. Returning to South Beach for the 13th consecutive year, the festival will include a range of fitness activities, signature events, parties, and dinner experiences.
The kickoff event begins on February 20th at the Delano with Moët Hennessy's The Q presented by Creekstone Farms. Also in attendance will be the 2014 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit models. Such well-known chefs as Spike Mendelsohn and Josh Capon will also be present at the Amstel Light Burger Bash, as well as Chris Santos and Marc Murphy, hosts of Food Network's popular Chopped.
Other highlights of the event will include a seminar presented by well-known food writers Mark Oldman and Adeena Sussman, who will show attendees how to properly pair fried chicken with wine. A special dinner will also be hosted by Chef April Bloomfield in recognition of the 10th anniversary of her restaurant, The Spotted Pig. Restaurant critics Michael Bauer and Ruth Reichl will host Soul of a Banquet Movie Night.
The event is being held in partnership with Miami International Film Festival and will also feature Chef Cecilia Chiang. Attendees will also have the chance to witness a unique performance between well-known Chef Emeril Lagasse and rocker Sammy Hager at Sammy's Beach Bar Rum & Cabo Wabo Tequila.
