4 Can’t Miss November Food, Wine and Art Events in Miami

Thanksgiving is almost here and there’s a lot to be grateful for in Miami. For instance, temperatures are dipping to a comfortable low, while the food, art and entertainment scene is just warming up. Here are a few fantastic events to look forward to leading up to and after Turkey Day. So, mark your calendars!


1.     Coral Gables Food Wine & Spirits Week and Festival – Nov. 11-12, 4 PM
Get into the spirit of Thanksgiving early with Coral Gables’ most coveted food and wine weekend. This 7th annual festival will take place between Ponce de Leon and Salzedo at Alhambra Ave. People 21 and above can indulge in 300 brands of beer at the Beer Garden, share a Whisky Obsession, sample Wines of the World, enjoy a tipple at the Spirits Pavilion and nosh on high-end food with some appetizing music. Tickets cost anywhere between $69 and $150.


2.     Miami Beach Annual Veterans Day Parade & Picnic – Nov. 11, 11:11 AM
Salute veterans for their courage and honor, and make a day of it! The Annual Veterans Day Parade will follow Ocean Drive to conclude at the Flamingo Park Baseball Stadium. A great way to spend the weekend with the family, bring along your picnic baskets to this free event. There’ll be floats, marching bands, veteran and military groups, cars and an all-veterans parachute team descending down for the closing ceremony.


3.     Art Basel Miami Beach – Nov. 30-Dec. 04
Get ready to bump into the who’s who of the international art scene in Miami Beach, for its Art Basel time! International glitterati will be in town to marvel at North America’s foremost modern and contemporary art fair. With almost 269 leading galleries participating from North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa, it’s going to be an art-tastic time. Paintings, drawings, sculptures, installations, photographs, films, and the works will be on display from budding artists to masters of the art. 4.     Art Miami – Nov. 29-Dec. 04
Art Miami is an off-shoot of Art Basel, and is held at the midtown Miami complex in Wynwood. It’s a prominent part of the Art Basel weekend and showcases the most important artworks of the 20th and 21st centuries. Along with its sister art fair CONTEXT Art, it definitely steals some of the thunder from Miami Beach during art week. Find tickets and more at Art Miami.
