Nov 09, 2015 November 09, 2015
Recently, many developers of highrise towers in Miami have received approval from the Federal Aviation Adminsitration (FAA) to build skyscrapers.
For some developers, receiving approval from the FAA is absolutely necessary due to the possibility that they extreme height of the towers will interfere with air traffic. This most recent wave of towers beats the height of any other existing tower in Florida.
The most recent set of approved skyscrapers are: One Bayfront Plaza standing at 1,005 feet high (1,010 feet above sea level), Villa Magna in Brickell Bay stands at 995 feet high (1,000 feet above sea level) and World Trade Center of the Americas clocks in at 969 feet high (980 feet above sea level).
The developer of One Bayfront Plaza is Tibor Hollo. Hollo has partnered with Frank McCourt, former owner of the Dodgers, and Corigin, a developer based out of New York, to create Villa Magna.
