Arquitectonica Leader Poised As Lobbyist For Resorts World Miami Casino?

Genting, the developers in charge of Resorts World Miami, seems to be planning something for their megaproject, even though it has been halted due to administrative issues.
A few weeks ago, it was revealed that Genting hired on four new lobbyists to have gambling legalized, which would allow them to build the world’s largest casino on the former site of the Miami Herald. They have been attempting it for many months, but have been unsucessful so far.
Bernardo Fort-Brescia, the leader of architectural firm Arquitectonica, met with Dade county officials to discuss what is to become of Resorts World Miami. Arquitectonica was hired by Genting back in 2011 when it was still planned to be a casino resort.
In the beginning of March, Genting finished an almost two year demolition of the Miami Herald building. A few days later, four attorneys specializing in real estate development were hired by Genting and registered as lobbyists by Dade County.
No one can figure out what is happening at Resorts World Miami, but something is definitely going to change for the development of the halted megaproject.
