South Beach se encuentra en Miami Beach, una franja insular conocida por sus playas de arena, mientras que Brickell está ubicado en el corazón de Miami continental. Y, aunque Brickell tiene vistas a la Bahía de Biscayne y un montón de hermosos paisajes frente al mar, en realidad, no cuenta con playas donde puedas nadar.

La mayoría de los residentes de la zona de Brickell conducen entre 10 y 15 minutos hasta Key Biscayne para disfrutar de las playas en lugares como Crandon Park. South Beach tiene algunos rascacielos nuevos y modernos, la mayoría con acceso a la playa y amplias vistas al océano. Pero el estilo Art Déco es lo que realmente resalta en este clásico barrio del sur de Florida.

Ambos barrios cuentan con un Trolley gratuito para aquellos que quieran tomarse un descanso cuando salen a caminar. En definitiva, en cualquiera de los dos lugares puedes dejar el coche estacionado y disfrutar de un paseo a pie.


 
— Ofertas culturales y eventos de primer nivel

En esta categoría, South Beach supera sin duda a Brickell. Este barrio alberga a la Sinfónica del Nuevo Mundo, el Ballet de la ciudad de Miami, el 
Museo Bass y el Centro de Convenciones de Miami Beach, donde se realizan ferias, exposiciones temáticas y eventos deportivos de categoría mundial. En SoBe también hay una gran cantidad de galerías de arte, conciertos al aire libre y un cine arte, donde frecuentemente se realizan eventos culturales públicos.

En cambio, Brickell no cuenta con tanta infraestructura para este tipo de eventos, pero ofrece propuestas artísticas principalmente en clubes nocturnos con entretenimiento en directo, exposiciones de arte en los vestíbulos de los modernos rascacielos y eventos culturales privados organizados para los residentes de los condominios de lujo y sus invitados. Sin embargo, la buena noticia es que la mayor parte de la oferta cultural de Miami se encuentra en el centro de la ciudad y en Wynwood. Para llegar desde Brickell, solo hace falta una larga caminata o un corto trayecto en auto.

El estilo de vida de Brickell es definitivamente más urbano y corporativo que el relajado estilo playero de South Beach. En Brickell, te encontrarás con los fashionistas mejor vestidos de Miami yendo de un lado a otro, entre oficinas elegantes y restaurantes, mientras que, en South Beach, verás a los residentes yendo al trabajo a las 10 a.m. en monopatín.

Además, el distrito de Brickell es más concurrido que South Beach. Brickell es, principalmente, un lugar para locales. En cambio, tanto los turistas como los locales adoran South Beach, donde puedes ver muchos pájaros emigrando de las regiones del norte para pasar sus inviernos. También es un barrio estupendo para ver a los famosos que llegan atraídos por el sol y el surf.

Dado que South Beach es una zona más antigua y consolidada, cuenta con más servicios públicos, como la piscina de Flamingo Park, South Pointe Park y Lummus Park.

Brickell, por el contrario, ofrece más servicios urbanos dentro de los condominios o en clubes con membresía. Los residentes de las torres de condominios con todo incluido pueden disfrutar de gimnasios, spa y pistas de tenis en la comodidad de su propio edificio, mientras que otras personas pueden ir a un spa o gimnasio público.
