Missoni x Miami: A Colorful World of Luxury

The Italian luxury fashion house of Missoni is known for its sophisticated yet positively Italian use of color and design. Echoing the same sense of refreshing uniqueness for its first-ever residential venture, the residences at Missoni Baia bring about “beautiful environments where people can experience a harmonious life with family and friends,” according to Angela Missoni, President and Creative Director at Missoni.

“I need a blank canvas, but a beautiful one,” noted Missoni when talking about her vision behind the luxury residences. “I need a view. I saw this building, and the view you can have from every floor, it's amazing.” She added, “You can wake up in the morning and feel like you have already meditated, even if you don't meditate. You wake up and say, ‘Wow, yes, here I am.’”

Missoni Baia: Design Influences and Interior Elements

“From the very beginning, the whole thinking was to design something on the Edgewater site because of its prominence,” explained architect and co-founder of Asymptote Architecture, Hani Rashid regarding the impetus of his design philosophy for the building.

“The idea (was) to produce something almost musical, demure, elegant, sophisticated, and clean,” said Rashid. “In that way, we put something in the skyline that is in dialogue with the Miami of today and tomorrow... Missoni Baia is not just a clean, beautiful, elegant statement. It's actually a kind of indication of how Miami is maturing."

As New York-based Paris Forino helmed the interior design on this luxury condo project, she summed up her design philosophy saying, "The inspiration for the interiors was clean, light, the perfect backdrop to insert the Missoni world...” And, she achieves this, with the building interiors exuding sophisticated elegance along with a splash of playful Missoni colors, fabrics, and textures, creating a vibrant yet tranquil community.

Buyers will find a fine balance of minimalist art, Missoni’s playful colors, and subtle Miami influences at these sublime waterfront residences.”

“From just looking at the renderings, most people easily identify elements that embody the essence of Missoni as a brand,” notes Niakan. “This brand identity, plus direct bay views from all residences, and an impressive amenity package are some of the main reasons the building is almost sold out ahead of its opening. It is equally popular among our domestic and international buyers.”
