Duo Resubmitting Their Bid for a Futuristic Tower Design on the Miami Dade College Campus

A dynamic duo are bringing back their designs to construct a futuristic tower on Miami Dade College’s land.
Gregg Covin, a developer, and Chad Oppenheim, an architect, have reconstituted their proposal from may years ago and are resubmitting it to the college to be built on the 520 Biscayne Boulevard plot.
Back in 2007, Covin and Oppenheim teamed up to bid on a property, but the college cancelled their request for proposals. Years later, the college is accepting bids and proposals once again, and the duo has decided to try and resubmit their design.
In order to fit into the new standard, the team has to change their original design, but not by much. Some classrooms and an art center from the 2007 design was replaced by a museum, a theater, and a conference center.
In addition to Covin and Oppenheim, the Related Group has suggested that they will submit a proposal for the land. Furthermore, Gary Nader has already submitted plans for a new Latin American Art Museum and a few condo towers on the land.
