Summer is great for getting your entire family together, experiencing something new and making lasting memories. And, especially if you’re in Miami, there’s a whole bunch of activities to indulge in. However, come mid-April, we reckon you’ll dedicate one weekend for the ‘Great Taste of the Grove’ Food & Wine Festival.
Each year, for the past twenty years, local restaurant owners have brought a sampling of their finest and best-selling dishes to the gorgeous Peacock Park for everyone to savor. As pop-up restaurants in huge white tents take over the splendid greens of this bayside park, you’ll get to enjoy mouthwatering dishes from the most popular eateries in the Grove, with a side of delicious waterfront views, cooking demos, contests and much more.
What makes this summertime fix an irresistible, family-friendly treat is that everyone can split up and sample their favorite cuisine at as low as $1. So, whether it’s Greek, Italian, Mexican or Thai food that tickles your fancy, you can go ahead and indulge in the flavors from the best in the neighborhood. Past year participants have included Timo’s at Villa Mayfair, Spartico at Mayfair Hotel & Spa,Panorama at the Sonesta Hotel, Greenstreet Café and the Jaguar Ceviche Spoon Bar & Latam Grill.
Not only will you get a great tasting at this homegrown version of the South Beach Food & Wine Festival, but also live music to keep you entertained. So, while adults can kick back with a soothing cocktail, beer or wine, kids can look forward to loads of fun activities in the giant Fun Zone.
