The new Elysee tower in the Edgewater neighborhood of Miami has been approved by the Federal Aviation Administration.
The 56-story Elysee tower will be 644 feet above the ground, which is 649 feet above sea level, the maximum height the FAA permits for the Edgewater area. Approval took less than four months, but expires in March of 2017.
A maximum of two units will be built on each floor of the Elysee as part of their 100 unit plan. Prices in the tower average around $750 per square foot.
Upward construction is estimated to begin at the start of 2016. Two Roads Development is creating both the Elysee and Biscayne Beach, the latter of which is already under construction.
