Special: Fourth of July 2022 Events in Miami

It’s time for Miami’s night sky to light up, and here are some of coolest curations to celebrate this year’s Independence Day:

• 4th of July Weekend at Deering Estate, July 2-4. With admission reduced to just $5 per person for the entire weekend, bring along friends and family to enjoy this sprawling estate, its splendid wildlife, and fireworks over the lawn.
• Apple Pie 4th of July Storytime, July 3. Kick start Independence Day celebrations early with story time at the Museum of Contemporary Art, followed by a fun DIY art project for kids.
• BBQ and Beer at Bay 13, July 3. Get started early on your 4th of July celebrations with unlimited BBQ & Beer at this Coral Gables brewery and kitchen.
• 4th of July Concert & Barbecue in North Bay Village, July 4. If BBQ and a concert are part of your Fourth of July tradition, then head down to Treasure Island Elementary for a field day.

The North Beach Bandshell is set to blow up this summer with the sights and sounds of its Seaside Summer music festival. Head out to experience first-hand the catchy beats of Brazilian Nites, DJ David Knapp, traditional flamenco music and dance, Los Amigos Invisibles, Brazil’s modern music by Ceu & Francisco, and a variety of music at Kulture fest. There will also be a Conservation Fundraiser, Miami Girls Rock Camp‘s Grand Finale, and an International Ballet Festival performance night.

Ballin' 4 Peace Celebrity Charity Basketball Game - Miami Edition: July 2

As part of its cross-country community outreach initiative, the “2022 Road to Peace Tour” stops over in Miami before heading out to Atlanta, Sacramento, and New York. The day-long event will feature a free youth clinic and game, a 3-point shootout, a dunk contest, and a charity game. Proceeds will benefit Ballin 4 Peace – a New York-based nonprofit organization committed to promoting peace through sports.

36th International Hispanic Theatre Festival of Miami - 2022 Program: Throughout July

With performances scheduled at the Adrienne Arsht Center, Miami-Dade County Auditorium, and Key Biscayne Community Center, this theater festival brings you the finest talent in the Hispanic community. Miami Salsa Festival: July 9

Celebrating the highly contagious, hip-shaking rhythms of salsa, this spicy concert brings talents like Luis Enrique, India, Jerry Rivera, Victor Manuelle, Grupo Niche, and more to one stage at the FTX Arena.

Midsummer Adventure: July 9

Fruit & Spice Park, 24801 SW 187th Ave, Homestead

Celebrating summer finds in full bloom, this day-long adventure will feature tram tours, summer fruit sightings, scavenger hunts, themed photo-ops, and more delicious fun under the sun.

If one day isn’t enough, you can come back on the 31st for a workshop on Preserving the Harvest, where you can learn how to enjoy your produce long after it leaves the garden. 

Miami Dog Appreciator Society Awards: July 9

Your doggo thirsty for some likes? Bring your pooch or just give some love to others pets at the first Dog Awards by the newly formed Miami Dog Appreciator Society. This fun event is free to attend and every dog will walk out with a certificate and a treat. The organizers will also be raising funds for the Pelican Harbor Organization, which is dedicated to the rehabilitation of seabirds. So, don’t forget to do your bit.

Mango Mania at Fairchild: July 9-10
