How Ultra-high-end Brands Are Transforming Miami’s Luxury Condo Real Estate

Miami has long been associated with beaches, star studded events and celebrity second homes. But, given the current wave of high-end condo developments, it won’t be long before we’re known as the first choice for global elite with ultra-luxury condo properties offering every imaginable (and unimaginable) amenity. While the likes of Faena House, the Miami Beach Edition, Grove at Grand Bay and 1 Hotel & Homes have already made stellar debuts, here’s looking into other curated condo projects that are set to put Miami on the map for high rollers:
The Estates at Acqualina
Claim to Fame: Lobbies by Karl Lagerfeld
Developer: Jules and Eddie Trump of the Trump Group
Location: Sunny Isles Beach
The beachfront Estates at Acqualina are expected to be delivered furniture-ready by 2020. Marking Karl Lagerfeld’s foray into residential condo projects, the pièce de résistance lobbies of both 50-story boutique towers will come designed by the German designer heading Fendi and Chanel.
Each of the 256 ‘Estates in the Sky’ (read residences) will feature sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and romantic cityscape. Enveloping 777 Via Acqualina and 888 Via Acqualina will be 45,000 sq. ft. of sheer pleasure. Pulling out all the stops, there will be a golf simulator, Wall Street Trader’s Clubroom, ice-skating rink, 4-lane bowling alley, Formula One racing simulator, FlowRider surfing simulator and much more. Crafted as the ‘finest residences in the world’, the Estates at Acqualina bear a price tag between $3.9 million and $9.0 million, with their two-story penthouses priced at $40 million.
Fendi Château Residences

While most residences and buildings continue to compete for the title of the tallest in Miami, the Fendi Château Residences offer the luxury of staying closer down to earth. Rising only 12 stories on 3 acres of pristine private oceanfront, all 58 flow-through residences and common areas will feature interiors by Fendi – think Fendi Casa kitchens and imported finishes throughout.
The first residential building by the Italian fashion giant, Fendi Château will also boast of a residents-only restaurant, ultra-luxury concierge known as Fendi Château attaché, pool and beach-side service, plush gardens with cypress trees for international appeal and many more 5-star amenities. Just blocks from Bal Harbour, the prices average $1,900/sq. ft. with residences flaunting a price tag of $6.3 million to $25 million.
MISSONI Baia
Claim to Fame: Residential Experience by Missoni

Set to dominate Edgewater’s waterfront by 2019, the 57-story luxury condo tower will bring Missoni’s colorful spirit of imagination and innovation to Miami. The 146-unit tower is being developed to set a new standard in refined and relaxed waterfront living with luxury resort-like amenities and interiors by Paris Forino Design.
With only three residences per floor, each abode will open up to an expansive, shaded terrace, with multiple exposures and 270 degree views of the city, bay, ocean and Miami Beach. A first by the high-end Italian fashion house, expect one of the largest spas in Miami, sundeck with Olympic-sized lap pool, elevated tennis courts and boardwalk connecting Downtown to be part of Missoni Baia. Prices range from $1.6 million to $3.9 million.
Residences by Armani/Casa
Claim to Fame: Interiors and Finishes by Giorgio Armani

A soaring 649-foot-tall modern glass tower, the Residences by Armani/Casa are expected to open by 2019. Designed by starchitect César Pelli of Adrienne Arsht Center fame, the 60-story ultra-luxury condo tower will command 300-feet of private beachfront. All 308 units and common spaces will come designed by the Armani/Casa Interior Design Studio, under the artistic direction of Giorgio Armani.
A first in the U.S. by the design studio, the residences will feature a professionally curated collection of museum-quality art. Expect works by Venice Biennale artist Marcelo Legrand as well as sculptures by Sandro Chia and Sinisa Kukec. Besides handpicked details, finishes, rich textures and exotic materials, the Residences will also boast of an Armani Prive lounge, 3-acre landscaped greens, fine dining restaurant, ocean-facing fitness center, two-story spa, movie theater and more. The project averages at $1,300/sq. ft. with units starting at $1.85 million. However, buying the $15 million penthouse will win you a private audience with Giorgio Armani in Milan.
Elysee Miami

The first luxury boutique condo tower in East Edgewater, Elysee Miami sits directly on the Bay. At 57 stories, Elysee will only have 100 residences - no more than two per floor for utmost privacy and exclusivity. Each residence will feature unobstructed, 270 degree Bay and city views.
Designed by world-renowned architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica, Elysee has been created to be ‘instantly recognizable, yet discreet’. Each decorator ready residence will feature interiors by France’s top interior designer, Jean-Louis Deniot. Pre-construction prices range from $1.65 million to $10 million.
Aston Martin Residences

Location: Downtown Miami
The ultra-luxury, sail-shaped Aston Martin Residences will be perched on a waterfront lot in Downtown, overlooking the Miami River, city and Biscayne Bay. 66 stories high, the building will boast of 390 condos and common spaces interior-designed by Aston Martin.
A first for the British luxury sports car maker, expect to see “signature items” flaunting the brand’s trademark colors, stitching style and materials adorning the common areas. Amenities include a micro-cinema, two-story fitness center, full-service spa, art gallery, 55th floor infinity pool, exclusive yacht marina and membership to “The Aston Martin Club”. The residences are expected to be delivered by 2021.
Porsche Design Tower
Claim to Fame: Designed by Porsche Design Studio with Unique Robotic Car Lift

Neighboring Armani/Casa, the Porsche Design tower is the ultimate new premium sky-scraper with a completion date of 2018. A first from the German luxury car brand, the cylindrical building will house a unique drive-in car elevator that delivers you, sitting in your car, right up to your “sky garage” adjacent to the residence.
Setting new standards in luxury, the 60-story waterfront tower features 284 parking spaces for its 132 units. Commanding 200 feet of Ocean frontage, expect a 3-story high lobby with glass car elevator observatory, lobby-level restaurant, private wine lockers, two oversized plunge spas, golf simulator, 4-car connected race simulator, movie theater, card table, ball room and more.
