There’re tons of savvy people who wish to go green by switching to electric vehicles, but not having an EV charging station closer home can really put a dent in plans. But, all that’s ready to change! Last year’s amendment to Florida’s Condominium Act really opened up a lot of doors for such eco-friendly vehicles in Miami. The new law, which came into effect on July 1, 2018, gives unit owners the right to install and use an electric vehicle charging station within their condominium building.

New Condo Law Regarding Installation of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

According to this new amendment, condo owners can now go ahead and install a charging station for electric vehicles in the designated parking area of their building (i.e. their assigned parking space). But, those opting to install such EV charging stations would have to do so at their own cost, while staying in compliance with all safety and building codes and have a separate meter for billing. Still, this new law is not just about empowering condo owners, it actually seeks to attract the attention of all progressive-minded condo association boards to embrace the technology and go green. This means that every condo building in Miami can get eco-friendlier and help reduce the carbon footprint that results from fuel emission. Read more about this amendment here.

While there’s still time for this new law to have a widespread impact, we’ve put together a list of condo buildings in Miami that already have charging stations for electric vehicles and are ready to welcome environmentally-conscious folks right now. This is by no means a complete list, because as we mentioned all condo owners now have the right to install EV car charging stations. But at least you know which buildings as of today already have experience with the process.

Urban Food Halls a Big Craze in Miami, and We Bet You Haven't Been to All of Them
Lifestyle Urban Food Halls a Big Craze in Miami, and We Bet You Haven't Been to All of Them
Miami is officially on board the latest urban food hall train, with new urban food halls sprouting up everywhere. These sites are inspired in European marketplaces and are known for hosting a wide variety of food vendors, restaurant kiosks, and marketplaces in a single location, often spanning thousands of square feet. Several new urban food halls have cropped up across Miami in the last couple of years, providing accessible and varied eateries ranging from top-tier restaurants to casual street food. Several areas are now blessed with urban food halls, including the novel Brickell City Center, the luxe Design District, and the trendy art-lined streets of Wynwood. Miami Beach will also see the opening of one or more food halls in the coming months. Below we’ve assembled a list of Miami’s most popular urban food halls, but bear in mind that there will soon be a lot more! Miami Real Estate Market Forecast 2020 & State of the Market in 2019
Real Estate News Miami Real Estate Market Forecast 2020 & State of the Market in 2019
The Miami real estate market has been moving in interesting ways over the past few years. Some believe the market is bottoming out after a few years of softness, others think that we are set for another condo bust. Let’s take a look at the Miami market landscape and see where things may go from here. Let’s start with a brief history... The market crashed in 2008 along with the rest of the nation, and then from 2010-2015 the Miami market had a huge run-up in prices to the point that pretty much everyone who invested around 2010 made very significant profits. After the dollar strengthened in 2014, the very hot real estate market here in Miami started softening, as the Europeans and Latin American countries lost much of their purchasing power in the exchange rates (on the other hand, those who already had their money here made a killing). Since 2015-2016, the condo prices have gone sideways and down as inventory has increased, creating some pain for sellers and a great opportunity...

Lifestyle Top Miami Beach Neighborhoods Ranked for Public Transportation
The reality is that for the typical visitor or resident of Miami Beach, they come to walk, bike, skateboard, and scooter around town, but it’s still important to know you public transit options. Getting around any city becomes that much easier when you have multiple public transportation options at your disposal. Miami, for one, has an intricate public transportation system that includes options like the Metrobus, Metrorail, Metromover, Tri-rail and the Trolley. In this blog, we’ve ranked the top Miami Beach neighborhoods on the basis of their ease of access to public transit systems, making it easier for tourists and locals to know how to cruise this coastal city. The reason you won’t see a super high score for any of these neighborhoods is because the only public transportation options are street-based (trolley and bus) without dedicated or preferred lanes as opposed to any public-transit-only lanes or dedicated systems like rail. Plus, the only public transit in and out of the...
