Are you ready for some grand summer fun in Fort Lauderdale? With a good mix of events and festivals this June, you can spend your days indoors or out as the heat turns up.

Joining Pride Month celebrations across the nation, we have a street festival, gallery exhibit, concert, and MODS’ annual event to mark your calendars with. The Bailey Contemporary Arts Center and ArtsPark will be celebrating the spirit of the Caribbean in separate festivals. Bob Ross comes (in spirit) to the Coral Springs Museum. Ringo Starr, Mötley Crüe, and Def Leppard will be live in concert. And, there are plenty of ideas for you to make Father’s Day all the more special this year.

Celebrating Pride Month with the rest of the country, History Fort Lauderdale will have an interactive presentation on display at the Galleria Mall - all month long. Chronicling the rich history of the art of drag performance, the exhibit will feature a photo wall, video vignette interviews and perspectives, colorful costumes, and more.

Roar & Explore Dinosaurs at MODS: Weekends in June

Museum of Discovery and Science, 401 SW 2nd St, Fort Lauderdale 

Gather the gang for some weekend fun at the Museum of Discovery and Science. Besides their popular ‘Dinosaurs in Motion’ traveling exhibit on display, you’ll also get access to make-and-take sessions, fun excavation activities, animal encounters, movies, and more.

Black & White and Gray All Over Exhibition: June 3 to August 17

On display for a month-and-a-half, this visual art exhibit will feature two- and three-dimensional works in various mediums such as paint, pencil, sculpture, and more using only shades of black, white, and gray.

This is where the historic Stonewall Riots took place to spark off the LGBT+ human rights movement. Celebrating that historic moment with freedom, love, an evening parade, live music, and plenty of vendors, the street festival will unfold on Saturday.

Free Ukulele Concert: June 18

Featured Creatures Weekend: June 18 & 19

Flamingo Gardens & Wildlife Sanctuary, 3750 S Flamingo Rd, Davie

Head out to the Flamingo Gardens for an educational excursion about ocean conservation this June. With the Free Our Seas’ “Flotsam Fauna” exhibit on display, the garden will be brimming with sculptures made using over 1,000 pounds of marine debris found along the shores of South Florida beaches.
