Get set, ready and go – for the ultimate multi-sport challenge is back in town to create waves in stunning South Beach. Scheduled to put your mind, body and soul to the test on Sunday, April 19, the Life Time Tri South Beach 2015 event is for everyone who’s up for a challenge - from those who like to go solo, to those who prefer to compete with friends.
Set against the amazing backdrop of South Beach with fabulous giveaways, the triathlon welcomes everyone from first-time athletes to relay teams, individual age group triathletes, corporate teams as well as driven CEOs. The proceeds from the annual race support the St. Jude facilities, with past events garnering up to $1 million in funds for the children’s medical organization.
The routing for this year’s course has been divided into a swim along the world-famous shores of South Beach, a bike ride across Miami Beach’s scenic Causeways and a run alongside Miami Beach's Art Deco District, concluding back on the pristine shores of South Beach. While the International Course is chartered to consist of a .93-mile swim, 24.25-mile bike ride and 6.2-mile run, the Classic Course shall include a .5-mile swim, 20.7-mile bike ride and 4-mile run.
The triathlon also boasts of fantastic supporting events, including an impressive CEO challenge and a delightful St. Jude Tot Trot. The CEO challenge has been designed to deliver a premium race experience to business owners, Presidents and C-Level executives of companies with an annual revenue of over $1 million. The St. Jude Tot Trot is the most adorable event on the list with separate dashes for children aged 3-5 and 6-9, with its proceeds benefitting the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
So, gear up for this mid-April, adrenaline-pumping event and get ready to prove your mettle. Or, you know, at least come out to cheer on your favorite team.
