Kick off summer in international style! This May, the hottest ticket in town is the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix, coming to the Hard Rock Stadium, bringing with it all the nail-biting, edge-of-the-seat racing action and incredible parties we’ve all loved for ages. There are plenty of great movies playing under the stars at LOOP and ArtsPark. Concert lovers are in for a treat too as Paul McCartney, Post Malone, Maluma, Sting, and other international acts take the stage. And, we also have a grand selection of Mother’s Day events to help you start planning.

- Special at Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, May 8. Moms get in free at the Bonnet House on the 8th. Take the opportunity to tour this historic house and get a taste of how life was back in the 30s and 40s.
- Mother’s Day at Flamingo Gardens, May 8. Celebrate the day with the ‘Beauty of Orchids’ as mom gets in free. There will be an orchid photo exhibit, an orchid class, carefully selected native orchid music, plus plenty of fragrant gifts to take home.
- Mother's Day Brunch Buffet, May 8. This special buffet brunch has all the comfort treats mom could ask for, including creamy scrambled eggs, bacon & sausage patties, French toast, mimosas, a fruit assortment, and more.
- Italian Brunch at the Marriott, May 8. Head to the Radiant 166 inside the Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport for a scrumptious Italian treat of bottomless drinks and brunch.
- Mother’s Day at La Mexicana Taco Bar, May 8. Take mama for some mouthwatering tacos and she gets a free sangria. There will also be a live mariachi band for entertainment.
- Free Yoga & Mimosas, May 8. If mom loves her yoga as much as her mimosas, this would be the place to be! After a flow yoga session, she gets to enjoy a free mimosa, with the added benefit of all donations going to the local pet rescue.

As Formula 1 burns up the racetracks, the Hard Rock will have an equally lit lineup of performances ready to set the stage on fire this May. Here’s a look:
- Maluma, May 5. The first of many A-listers scheduled to perform during race weekend, you wouldn’t want to miss this power-packed jam by the global Latin music idol.
- Post Malone, May 6. Catch the international pop sensation live right after the weekend race, as he belts out his platinum-status hits and more.
- Sting, May 22. From “Every Breath You Take” to “If It’s Love,” Sting will be on stage at the Hard Rock, doing what he does best, this May.
- Paul McCartney, May 25. The legend is back! Rocking the stage with all-time hits to his latest faves, this will be your chance to live the greatest moments of music, live.
- Jhay Cortez, May 27. If you’ve been following the Latin music scene, you’ll want to be in attendance as the Latin Grammy award winner takes the stage.
- Anna Vissi, May 29. Craving international music? Catch “the ultimate Greek star” closer home as she brings her most successful tunes to life.

Our favorite Las Olas Oceanside Park is set to come alive this summer with a slew of events:
- Grand Prix Beach Party, May 8. This Grand Prix race watch party will come complete with the latest Alfa Romeo vehicles and merchandise, DJs, food trucks, the Avion Tequila Experience, bars, and more.
- Fleet Week Farewell Concert, May 7. This navy meet-and-greet will let you mingle with sailors and marines as the talented musicians of the Navy Band Southeast sing them a sweet farewell.
- National Senior Games, May 10-23. This is the largest multi-sport event for senior men and women! Catch a glimpse of the fittest 50-somethings you’ll know, as athletes from around the country gather around for this biennial competition.
- Great American Beach Party, May 28. Kick off Memorial Day weekend with this free, family-friendly beach party, complete with a sand-sculpting demo, a military tribute, a classic car show, an art show, live bands, and much more.
There’s also a soulful Full Moon Experience, Sunday by the Shore picnic, and Movies by Moonlight to help you make the most of your time at this beachside park.

Annual Asian-Pacific American Heritage Celebration: May 7
