Met Square Now Building Theater and Restaurants on the Site
Jun 25, 2015 June 25, 2015
Contractors for Met Square are working away at the site, building a movie theater, restaurants, and apartments.
MDM, the developer of Met Square, filed a Notice of Commencement, which states that piling and excavation work is starting for the project.
Due to an archaeological dig at the site and a lawsuit, the project was delayed.
The first phase of the project will include a theater, some restaurants, and plenty of other components. The theater will be operated by Silverspot, and they have said that it will open in the Fall of 2016. Ocean Bank provided $42 million in the form of a loan earlier in 2015.
The second phase of the project will include a near 400-unit apartment tower, which will be 43 floors tall.
Suffolk Construction is the contractor, and NBWW is the architect.
