Among Miami’s signature events is Miami Art Week, during which millions of artists, art exhibitors, and art aficionados from all over the world descend upon our city to experience the world’s most exciting Contemporary and Modern Art.
This year, Miami Art Week 2024 will take place from December 2-9, 2024, and features a dazzling lineup of international art fairs, setting up shop across the city in various neighborhoods, including Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Wynwood, Downtown Miami, the Miami River, the Design District, North Miami, and Coconut Grove, with public pop-up exhibits happening at other locations.

The event that started it all, Art Basel is the world’s largest and most prestigious art fair, with editions all over the world, including Basel and Paris. Art Basel Miami Beach is the main attraction of Miami Art Week. This year, Art Basel Miami Beach celebrates its 22nd edition led for the first time by its new director Bridget Finn. Hosting 286 leading galleries from all over the world, including 34 first-time entrants, this year’s Art Basel Miami Beach will host the fair's largest number of new participants since 2008.
Art Basel Miami Beach showcases leading galleries representing the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, and Uruguay with a program that is divided into sectors, with a specific focus, from monumental art by renowned masters, to solo exhibitions by emerging artists.

The design event of the year, and following the vision of curator Glenn Adam’s curatorial theme, Blue Sky, Design Miami 2024 presents a celebration of the boldest and most imaginative design and furniture objects in the world. Through a program that exhibits collectible design masterpieces, curios, special projects and collaborations, viewers can appreciate the experimental, risk-taking, and ultimately optimistic approach to design showcased in this year’s collection.

Miami’s native and longest-running art fair will be showcasing over 160 top galleries from 21 countries, based in cities such as London, Tokyo, Paris, Brussels, Bogotá, Seoul, Tel Aviv, Hong Kong, as well as cities across the United States, including New York, Los Angeles, Aspen, Houston, and San Francisco, and local Miami South Florida galleries.
The fair features work in all media, including paintings, drawings, design, sculpture, video art, photography, and prints. Art Miami has two sister fairs: CONTEXT Art Miami and Aqua Art Miami, and VIP passes are interchangeable among the three fairs.

Celebrating its 10th Anniversary in 2024, Miami’s premier presenter of African and African Diaspora art, Afrikin Art Fair takes place far from the buzz in quiet, quaint North Miami, and opens before the other fairs so you can spend time seeing the work before heading off to South Beach. This year’s theme is Threads of Life in Fragments of Time, and promises a transformative cultural experience exploring the connections that unite human beings to one another, the earth, and the cosmos.

Aqua Art Miami is the premier destination for art aficionados to procure works by young, emerging and mid-career artists. Chroma: A Spectrum of Artistic Expression

Returning to the Lucid Design District, Chroma 2024 offers an immersive art experience that lasts beyond Miami Art Week. This year's program features a wide and diverse range of creative expressions, from sculptures to wall art and wearable art, all designed exclusively for this show. This year’s exhibition of international artists, curated by Graciela Montich, is a feast for all the senses, with highlights such as Kevin M. Fletcher’s outdoor mural Echoes of Unity, and a performance of live music by Navya Nataraj, known as TheTablaQueen.

Founded by artist Eric Ginsburg, The Fridge Art Fair's main program, WALK-IN FRIDGE, will take place this year at The Wynwood Building, with the theme Fridge Does Freddie: The Freddie Mercury Project: Featuring the Return of the Flamingo, which honors the legendary Freddie Mercury and his influence on world music and culture. As in past years, The Fridge partners with the non-profit collaboARTive, and this year, through a new collaboration with ArtBasil.org will focus on sustainability and environmental awareness in the presentation of art.

INK MIAMI Art Fair

Now celebrating its 18th year, the INK MIAMI ART FAIR is renowned for its focus on contemporary works on paper in a variety of media, showcasing a diverse gamut of 20th-century masterworks and newly published editions by prominent international contemporary artists. The fair is hosted in the hotel’s open-air courtyard, with hotel suites around the courtyard serving as gallery spaces. One of our all-time favorite fairs, every year INK Miami presents a diverse range of works that range from the whimsical to the serious. This fair is also well-loved because of its free admission.

Now presenting its 11th edition, The Miami River Art Fair, hosted at the only enclosed rooftop venue in Miami with 360-degree views of the city skyline, showcases modern and contemporary Latin American art. NADA Miami Art Fair

Presenting its 22nd edition, NADA Miami 2024 returns to its yearly home at the Ice Palace, with over 150 exhibitors from 37 countries, representing 66 cities, including Buenos Aires, Caracas, Honolulu, Lagos, Pittsburgh, Shanghai, and many others. This year’s fair also welcomes 59 first-time exhibitors, making it one of the fair’s largest number of participants in its history.

The City of Miami Beach, in collaboration with the Miami Beach Visitor and Convention Authority (MBVCA), presents the 2024 edition of No Vacancy, Miami Beach, a juried art competition featuring mainly local artists, that brings art to venues outside of traditional art galleries, provokes critical discourse and appreciation for art among visitors to our region, and encourages locals as well as tourists to experience Miami Beach’s famed hotels as temporary art venues. This year celebrates the program’s fifth edition, featuring 12 artists presenting site-specific installations at 12 iconic Miami Beach hotels.

Presenting its 12th Edition, Prizm 2024 focuses on the curatorial theme The Architecture of Liberation which explores the way in which spaces — both physical and symbolic — have influenced liberation movements. The work presented examines the influence of built environments upon historical movements for liberation, autonomy, and equality, and the role that visual art, architecture, and spatial aesthetics played in that context.

Founded in 2012, Untitled Art is now celebrating its 12th edition on the shoreline in Miami Beach. With a mission to support the wider art ecosystem, Untitled Art focuses on inclusivity and prioritizes collaboration in every aspect of its programming. The fair supports emerging artists, young galleries, and non-profit organizations through its ‘Nest’ initiative, which offers subsidized booths that help galleries circumvent traditional entry barriers typical of most art fairs.
Untitled Art was also the first to launch an online fair, and invests continuously in new technologies to make it easier for common, everyday people to collect contemporary art. Untitled Art is also a member of the Gallery Climate Collation and works closely with the City of Miami Beach to keep its environmental impact at zero.
