The Miami Beach Congregational Church could soon be a retail complex, sources say.
The design and outcome of the revamp of the oldest church in Miami, is projected to bring in $100 million over the next 50 years.
Tristar Capital has hired Touzet Studio as the architect, and Raymond Jungles to develop the landscape. The designers say that the plan is to restore the originality of the church, while also bringing the landmark to its former glory.
It is proposed to have coconut trees that bring back the original design of the landscape. In addition, it will be made mainly of glass metalwork, with limestone to add accents to the design.
The church itself will be connected to Lincoln Road and Raymond, and will be located on the corner of Drexel and Lincoln.
