Miami Open 2016 – Two Weeks of World-Class Tennis and Entertainment
Mar 17, 2016 March 17, 2016
The most awaited tennis event of the year is back in town. Flirt with Miami’s signature entertainment, fun, fashion and food. With over $13 million in prize money at stake, the 2016 Miami Open presented by Itaú will be hosted at the Crandon Park Tennis Center from March 21 - April 3.
And it’s no surprise we’re hosting the most star-studded player field on the tour. From multiple Grand Slam champs to rising stars and future Hall of Famers, all 76 of the top ranked men and all but one of the top 73 ranked women will attend. Grab your shades and spread on that sunblock to catch World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, defending champion Rafael Nadal, Andy Murray, Stan Wawrinka, Juan Martin del Potro and Marin Cilic in action. You won’t want to miss the fierce women’s field either, with 21-time Grand Slam champion and eight-time Miami Open winner Serena Williams along with Venus Williams, Maria Sharapova, Victoria Azarenka, Petra Kvitova and reigning Australian Open champion Angelique Kerber.
A special Kids Day will be held March 22, keeping the family occupied both on and off the court. The same tickets give you access to the rest of the day’s sessions. Since children of all ages and skills are welcome, we recommend bringing along the brood.
In-keeping with Miami’s entertainment standards, Duran Duran will kick off the championship weekend. On tour to promote their latest album, Paper Gods, the multi-platinum recording artists will be performing live at the Bayfront Amphitheater on April 1, just ahead of the finals.
What’s a world-class event without some world-class cuisine? Get a fix of your favorites with plaza stands bringing you All American Classics, a Ben & Jerry’s Sweet Shop, Crepe Express, Grey Goose Lounge, Latin Café and Bacardi Bar, Moët & Chandon Champagne & Sushi Lounge, Off the Hook, Puntino Pizzeria, Salsa Fiesta, Starbucks, Stella Artois Center Court Lounge, Sushi Maki and The Market Place. Whetting your appetite outdoors will be the newly introduced Taste of the Miami Open where celebrity chefs and locals put their best dish forward, besides the mouthwatering options available at the food trucks and stadium concessions.
Adult admission is $15 and children get in for $12. But if you’re really looking for an exclusive Miami Open experience with some VIP treatment, check out the Patron Sponsorship package to enjoy the game celeb-style.
