New 70,000 Square-Foot Production Space Project Breaks Ground

In the beginning of December, the Florida Film and Television Center held its ceremonial groundbreaking for the construction of their new building.
The building itself will have 70,000 square-feet of high-end production space, allowing for producers to utilize this space instead of heading all the way to Hollywood.
Developers hope to have the 50 Northwest 14th Street property finished by Summer 2015.
The company leasing the property is EUE/Screen Gems Studios. EUE is paying $100,000 per year, plus 11% of the gross income for the business. The lease is for 10 years, with an option to renew at nine years.
In addition to this new space in Miami, EUE owns and operates production space in New York City, Atlanta, and Wilmington, N.C.
