New Condo Developments in Wynwood Complete District's Ecosystem

Out of no where, Wynwood has gone from a barren ghetto to a top of the line metropolis with regard to its development and renovation. Many artists that began in cheap studios in Wynwood are now moving away to make room for the luxurious neighborhood it is becoming.
However, for the first time since Wynwood has received this new popularity, developers are planning to build new condos and hotels in the neighborhood. The new addition of residential units, work space, and retail shops are the last missing pieces of the puzzle to complete the district's ecosystem.
“I think it will change the perception of Wynwood,” said David Polinsky, owner of a soon-to-be condo in Wynwood, “There is so much good will and enthusiasm about the neighborhood, but there are basically zero options for housing. It can be a great place for young creative people to live and work.
You can’t really think of another neighborhood where that’s going on in Miami.’’
Polinsky is the developer of an 11-unit condo called 250 Wynwood. It includes ground-floor retail and terrace overhangs that will be decorated with Wynwood's famous artistic graffiti. 250 Wynwood is predicted to break ground in a few weeks.
In order to capture the fame of the local graffiti scene, Polinsky hired gallerist Anthony Spinello to choose a few artists who would create the murals for his terrace overhands. The graffiti art can be seen from the sidewalk and will frame many views for residents, but will not encompass the whole building.
