New Designer Beachfront Condo from Herzog & de Meuron Signature Jade Collection

A collaborative effort of architecture firm Herzog & de Meuron, interior design firm PYR, and landscape designer Raymond Jungles has resulted in the creation of the Jade Signature, a Jade-appointed building located on Sunny Isles Beach. Designed to specifically suit the ambience and environment of its beachfront surroundings, the 57-story residential tower attempts to reshape perceptions of conventional high-rise living in Miami. Homes within Jade Signature range from the relative coziness of 1,400 square feet of space up to massive homescapes expanding to a footage of 10,000 square feet.
The Jade Signature is directly connected to its pool and to the neighboring beach, melding the residential common areas with the natural world encompassing the building. But the connection between residence and surroundings goes beyond the physical. Herzog & de Meuron intentionally designed each residential space with deep terraces and living areas in order to surround residents with views of the ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway. The tower also pays homage to Miami’s architectural past with its ground level, beach-connected common areas which have been part of beachfront hotel design in Miami for over 100 years.
Contributing to the seamless connection between the man-made and nature-made, the Jade Signature features underground parking to avoid obstructing views and access to the beach. So committed is each home to highlighting the surrounding environment that each contain large terraces that account for nearly one-third of living space. Window placement was chosen to frame the horizon to create the appearance of an even flow between interior and exterior spaces. According to the architecture firm the “quietness” of the form of the tower is in place in order to demonstrate the details of the building’s identity and to create a “textured expression” to the overall experience.
