One Brickell City Centre Topped with 80th Floor Lounge

The One Brickell City Centre will become the largest skyscraper in the United States outside of Chicago and New York, not to mention the tallest building in Miami.
The stunning 1,100-foot skyscraper will have a restaurant on the 79th floor. The next stop is the 80th floor lounge, where business people with full bellies and an appetite for stress-free chillin’ can relax, where tourists can city gaze, or the luxury-minded vacationer can soak in the splendor of Miami from the highest inhabitable space in the city. Below these attractions, floors 70-78 will have hotels, floors 34-66 will have residential units, and the bottom 30 floors will have offices.
A Hong-Kong based developer Swire Properties is proposing the plans for the tower. Swire will have to receive approval from the FAA to construct the building as planned, because Dade County’s zoning height map sets a height limit at 1,010 feet, nearly 100 feet less than Swire’s vision for the skyscraper.
The effort will pay off in the end. The One Brickell City Centre combined with the Brickell City Centre, a nearby civic center, will surpass 7 million square feet.
Swire Properties deserves praise for this gorgeous tower that will add to the glory of the Miami skyline.
