Phil Collins, well-known singer and songwriter, now owns Jennifer Lopez’s old mansion at 5800 North Bay Road after paying $33 million.
Mark Gainor, healthcare executive, and his wife sold the waterfront property in Miami Beach to Collins. Nelson Gonzalez of EWM/Christie’s International Real Estate represented the Gainors, and Mathieu Rochette of Barclay’s Real Estate Group represented Collins as the buyer.
Back in 2005, J-Lo sold her 1.2-acre property to Gainor for $13.9 million.
The mansion, which was built in 1929, includes over 12,000 square-feet of space, seven bedrooms, eight complete bathrooms, three partial bathrooms, a pool, and a Jacuzzi. The property itself has about 200 feet of coastline across the waters of Biscayne Bay.
“This property has long been a standout in the marketplace,” Gonzalez said, “and a sale of this magnitude – surpassing the 30-million-dollar threshold – further demonstrates the draw of Miami Beach to interested buyers from across the United States and around the world.”
