Finally, after about a year of red tape, city zoning officials granted approval for the three towers of Auberge Residences in the end of December 2015.
Auberge Residences is a triple-tower mixed-use project coming to 1400 Biscayne Boulevard. It is being developed by the Related Group and designed by the well-known architectural firm, Arquitectonica.
Auberge will have 1,430 units, 1,680 parking spaces, and over 13,000 square-feet of retail and restaurant space. There will be two 59-story towers that have 808 units total, and a 49-story tower with 568 units. These three towers are attached with an 11-story podium starting on the ground floor, which will have the retail and restaurant space, the amenities, and the parking spaces.
Related purchased the property a while back for $57.3 million, and immediately started advertising. The project was notably next door to the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.
