Unknown Condo Project Could Replace the Building of the Mexican Consulate

Yet another mixed-use project has been announced to be in the works for the Brickell area as the time of the Miami highrises continues.
The project, known right know as 1399 Southwest Tower, appeared seemingly uncalled-for on the website of ODP Architects, a local architectural firm. ODP is the same architect designing the plans for Zaha Hadid’s One Thousand Museum. It is uncertain who the developers of Southwest Tower are, but perhaps that information will be released soon. The plan at the moment only calls for hotel, office, and residential spaces.
If the new tower is built, it will take the place of a small office building that is next to the Infinity at Brickell tower, which is just down the road from the SLS condo and hotel tower that is currently under construction. That small office building is currently occupied primarily by the Mexican consulate, which has been under a ten-year lease since 2012.
