Andy Murray the Latest Star to Move into a Brickell Condo

by Sep Niakan | April 25, 2012

Move over South Beach, Brickell is quickly becoming the hippest place to live in South Florida. Young professionals, graduate students, and international professionals are flocking to this growing area. Traditionally considered the financial district of South Florida, Brickell is becoming a growing, 24-7 community. Restaurants, Brickell condos, and much more are popping up all over the place. Brickell is at the center of what is happening in Florida today.

With many restaurants and luxury condos being built in Brickell, it is not surprising that many A-listers have chosen Brickell Condos and Miami Condos for their home. Serena Williams, Jennifer Lopez, and tennis great Andy Murray are just some of those who have moved to Brickell.

In 2009, Murray moved to the Brickell area for its convenience, simplicity, and sense of community. With a Brickell condo in the Jade building on Brickell Bay Drive, Murray found his home. Unlike what most people would expect, Murray is not a big party boy. He is a stay at home kind of guy who enjoys living in a city with a small town feel. Murray’s Brickell condo is one of luxury. As many other Brickell condos and Miami condos, the Jade offers an immense variety of amenities, scenic views, and floor plans.

Living in a Brickell condo has been right for Murray on many levels. Being close to his favorite sporting events, with courtside seats to the Heat and Magic games, to being close to where the Sony Ericsson Open takes place. In fact, in the beginning of 2012, Murray unexpectedly went to the Sony Erriccson Open Finals as tennis star, Rafael Nadal, who he was to play against in the Semi-Finals, withdrew following a knee injury.

Since he owns a Brickell condo, he trains in South Florida during the off-season. Therefore, he had “home field” advantage, which always makes an athlete more confident and comfortable. Unfortunately though, despite having “home field” advantage and previously beating his competitor, Murray lost to number one ranked Djorkovic in straight sets in the final.

If interested in being part of the action and this great community, check out Andy Murray’s Miami condo at the Jade building. And yes, while many of Brickell condos and Miami condos are for sale, numerous ones can be rented too.
