Amazon.com Is Bringing a New Distribution Center to Doral

by Sep Niakan | December 18, 2014

Miami locals will be expecting quicker deliveries from Amazon.com when they open their new distribution and fulfillment center in Doral.

Amazon has signed a lease for a 336,000 square-foot warehouse in the Miami International Distribution Center located at 1900 Northwest 132nd Place. The Distribution Center was built about a year ago by KTR Miami.

The new Amazon distribution center will ease customer demand for same-day deliveries in the Miami area. In addition, Amazon will create up to 500 jobs.

Furthermore, Amazon does not plan on stopping there. They have more plans for South Florida. “They’re also opening up a brick-and-mortar store,” said Ken Krasnow, managing director at CBRE South Florida. The location of the store and their services have not been announced as of yet.
