The Brickell City Centre is on track to reach its goal of 2016 completion.
Swire Properties, the developer of the City Centre, led the media on a tour of the construction site through the $1.05 billion development.
Many of the walkways in the buildings are just concrete, and much of the glass is covered in its protective wrapping, but it is visibly coming together quite nicely.
The tour of the property included a view of the Sugar rooftop bar and lounge, which sits atop the 40-story EAST Hotel, with views of the bay and of the Brickell neighborhood.
The 500,000 square-foot shopping center has its frame in place, and the 1,000 foot-long “Climate Ribbon,” which will act as a natural cooling system, is resembling its renderings.
The project’s two residential towers finished upwards construction earlier this year, which offer almost 800 luxury condominiums. The Brickell City Centre is about 80% complete as a whole.
