The Genting Group plans to begin renovations of the historic Boulevard Shops in July.
Resorts World Miami, LLC, the affiliate company that owns Boulevard Shops, requested a construction permit earlier this summer, which seems to have been approved. They also filed a Notice of Commencement in July.
According to the plans, a 20,000 square-foot recreational facility will be added to the property. The building itself, however, could have a plethora of different uses by that name. The renovations are estimated at about $2.5 million in total. BDI Construction is listed as the contractor for the project.
Property leases have been marketed since late 2014.
On that same stretch of road, the Melo Group has already begun construction on the Melody project, a 497-unit condo tower. Nearby Related Group is going to begin sales on their 60-story tower named Auberge Residences soon as well.
