The popular Finnegan's River sports bar at 401 Southwest Third Avenue in the Miami River area has been sold.
Meyer Chetrit, owner of New York-based development firm, CG Miami River, purchased the bar and its respective property for $11.5 million.
Chetrit plans on building a condo tower on the site.
The property, which boasts 39,495 square-feet of land, a 10,871 square-foot bar, and a pool along the river, was sold to CG by Ocean Drive Clevelander, a firm led by Anthony Karpawich.
Sources say that the Chetrit Group has already submitted plans to the Miami River Commission to construct a 60-story condo with 1,449 condo units, a marina, and a hotel as well.
Finnegan's River sports bar has a few locations, including one in New Orleans, and the Miami Beach area. They are known for their sporting event hangouts, while also just being a fun place to have a drink. They have riverside seating, dock space, and DJ's playing on certain nights.
