Possible Redevelopment of Hollywood Beach Resort in Hollywood

Related Group and BH Group are one step closer to redeveloping the historic Hollywood Beach Resort after placing the century-old oceanfront property under contract from Chetrit Group. The Hollywood City Commission recently affirmed the 4.5-acre site's vested right to develop 398 residences, clearing a key entitlement hurdle before the property can be platted for redevelopment.

Built in 1925 by Hollywood’s founder Joseph W. Young, the landmark resort located at 101 North Ocean Drive has sat vacant for years following Chetrit Group's bulk acquisition of its condominium and timeshare interests in 2023.
