Miami Growing in More Ways than One: Jobs, Population, and More

According to U.S. Census Data, Miami's population growth rate has increased faster than any other large city in the United States since 2008.

In addition, Miami is ranked high in growth of full-time permanent jobs: more full-time jobs were created in Miami than in any other major city in the United States.

Socioeconomically, Miami has seen a great deal of growth between 2008 and 2014, second only to Austin, Texas. That same study included 10 different key metrics and ranked Miami very high in poverty rate decrease, small business growth and growth of average household income.

The study was prepared by Wallethub using data from the United States Census Bureau, the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics and the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
