Plans detailing the design and creation of the Edgewater condo tower have been revealed, giving more insight into the design of the project itself.
Melo Group has been developing a project titled Aria on the Bay located at 1770 North Bayshore Drive. The designs reveal the tower will be 50 floors tall, with 647 condo units. Aria on the Bay will include 40,000 square-feet of commercial-use space, as well as 1,035 parking spaces for their guests.
In 2005, Arquitectonica proposed a different project called On The Park, which was approved for the site, but the Aria on the Bay project has taken over. However, Arquitectonica will be designing the new project.
Melody Tower, a Melo Group condo tower project, is currently further along the approval process, and may postpone or alter the outcome or plans of Aria on the Bay
Aria on the Bay is planned to begin construction in the fall of 2014.
