A new massive apartment project known as Square Station is under development, and may be built near the Arsht Center.
The Melo Group claims ownership for the new Square Station, and says that construction will begin in July 2016. The project is notably being constructed near the School Board Metromover station, located on Northeast 14th Street, between Northeast Miami Place and Northeast Miami Court.
The project itself will be set between two twin towers, each with 34 floors. Between the two towers, there will be 710 residential units, 15,000 square-feet of commercial space, and 946 parking spaces.
The new renderings show a hotel, as well as eateries and an art gallery on the ground floor, but those have not been officially confirmed yet.
