New Plans Submitted for World Trade Center of the Americas on Biscayne Boulevard

by Sep Niakan, January 15, 2015

A development group submitted plans to the city for a 935-foot, 77-story tower on Biscayne Boulevard, which will be the World Trade Center of the Americas.

The new World Trade Center tower will be on the former site of a Holiday Inn, located at 340 Biscayne Boulevard. Arquitectonica will be designing the tower, and they plan on using up every bit of developable room allowed under the zoning code. It will be a mixed-use project, with several floors of office spaces, many hotel rooms, and loads of residences.

With about 50 floors of hotel and residential space, some wonder if there will actually be a lot of trade going on in the tower, or if it is just using its legendary name to bring in business.
