We’re in mid-summer and quite frankly, I love it. I know it’s hotter and more humid than usual this year (at least it feels like it). But to me, summertime in Miami is when I can finally have my city back, as most of the tourists have flocked back home. The beaches are less crowded, streets aren’t (as) clogged and waiting lines are shorter. The perfect time to relax and enjoy at my own pace,
It’s also middle point of the year, when we can take stock of what’s been accomplished so far and have a chance to adjust to end the year strong. Also, fests like the craft beer festival, supercon, Fashion Week, Salsa Congress, Spa Month, Miami Spice and the like don’t hurt, and rather add a nice touch to when it’s time to turn off my brain and turn on the r&r.
