Developers are converting the many reservations for the SLS Lux into contracts as they prepare to start construction.
Related Group has brought in 150 units to contract for the 57-story condo tower in the first 10 days. The contracted units are valued at $300 million altogether.
The SLS Lux project will include 450 residences and 85 hotel suites. The Lux will also contain significant amounts of art. They plan to include an eight-story mural, illuminated work for the outside walls, and many statues, including a bronze statue designed by Fernando Botero.
The Allen Morris Company, as well as the real estate and hospitality company, SBE, have joined Related to develop the project.
Developers plan to begin construction on South Miami Avenue by the end of 2014, and hope to finish it and open in 2016.
