Within Genres at Pérez Art Museum Miami: July 1 - August 19

Calling all art lovers – grab your final chance to catch the ‘Within Genres’ display at PAMM before it goes away. On for close to a year, the exhibit has the best of contemporary art on display in five genres. From Still Life to Landscape, Scenes of Everyday Life, Portraiture and History Painting, experience first-hand the many shades and grades of modern art.

Fourth of July Celebrations

What’s a Fourth of July without fireworks? Roll up to the annual celebrations at Bayfront Park, complete with free yoga, a kids’ fun zone, food and drink, live music and of course, fireworks on the water.

 

North Beach Bandshell, North Beach

Prefer a free beachside celebration? Then head to the North Beach Bandshell. Yoga on the beach starts early, followed by an all-day Kids Zone with rock climbing, a Junkanoo parade, food trucks, lots of live entertainment, and a fireworks display tying the evening together perfectly.

 

The Barnacle, Coconut Grove

Want Lassie to join in the celebrations? Then get your furry friend on a leash to The Barnacle. This afternoon extravaganza features a good old-fashioned picnic, traditional lawn and table games, kids’ crafts, a scavenger hunt, live music, hot dogs, burgers and much more.

Involve the entire family and get your homemade float, self-decorated bike, golf cart, car, trailer, etc. to feature in this year’s parade. The best entry wins $1500. Marching bands, special entertainment and fireworks at 9 complete the celebrations.

 

Overtown Music and Arts Festival: July 14

Between NW 8th and 10th Streets, Overtown

Rush to this juicy fruit festival for all things mango! Turning the spotlight on the Mangos of Haiti this year, you’ll get to sample the exotic variety along with other rarely found tropical fruit. The weekend-long festival will also feature mango lectures, mango tastings, mango cuisine, mango workshops, and other garden-related goodies for sale.

 

Sea Turtle Nesting and Release Program: Late July - September

Crandon Park, Key Biscayne

It’s sea turtle season in Florida, and you can be there to watch them embark on their journey of life. This weekend program lets you near nesting areas on the beach, educates you about the lifecycle and dangers to sea turtles, and most importantly, watch them hatch and dash towards the sea! Reservations start July 1st.

International Ballet Festival: July 28 - August 19

Various venues across Miami

More than 200 artists from over 20 international companies gather around to put their best foot forward. From promising new talent to prestigious names, Bach to contemporary, the showcase brings a wide variety to the stage. Catch these world-class performances at the likes of Colony Theater, Fillmore and Lehman Theater.
