The Pool at Icon Brickell Could Be Closed for a Year after Leaks and Other Problems

The pool and the deck surrounding it at Icon Brickell will be closing for repairs, and may be closed for at least a year.

Arquitectonica, the architect of the development, and John Moriarty & Associates, the contracting company building it, are facing legal action; they are both being sued.

The residents and workers at the 1,650-unit Icon Brickell report that the pool is leaking water into the garage below. There is also no slip-resistant deck, meaning that there is a constant danger of falling. They also face the same problem for the driveways.

A different lawsuit is in the process against Arquitectonica and John Moriarty & Associates, except from the insurance company supporting the hotel project, Viceroy, elsewhere. They report faulty plumbing in the interior of the tower.
