Top 10+ Things to Do in Miami in August 2026 (Featuring Miami Spice)

With the buzzing energy of the 2026 FIFA World Cup now behind us, Miami is ready to enter its most flavorful season of the year: Miami Spice. Over the next two months, over 300 eateries in Miami will be offering specially priced menus for brunch, lunch, and dinner, giving locals and visitors a chance to immerse themselves in the city’s vast culinary offerings.

International Ballet Festival of Miami

July 25–August 16

One of the finest yearly spectacles in Miami, the International Ballet Festival offers a riveting lineup of classical and contemporary performances from both up-and-coming and seasoned dancers as well as art exhibits, conferences, film series, and book presentations set against backdrops like Bayfront Park and The Fillmore Miami Beach.

Ayiti Bèl Nanm & Miss USA | Adrienne Arsht Center

August 15 & 27 at 1300 Biscayne Boulevard in the Arts & Entertainment District

On August 15, Haitian culture will take center stage with Ayiti Bèl Nanm, an immersive evening featuring multidisciplinary performances across dance, music, and poetry that weave nuanced and thoughtful narratives around the country’s complex history spanning over 200 years. The production is staged by Paula Clermont Péan, Florence Jean-Louis, and Linda Isabelle François Obas.

On August 27, viewers from around the world can tune in to the 75th Miss USA pageant, the first time it’s been held in the state of Florida since 1986. After coronation, Audrey Eckert’s successor will move on to represent the United States at Miss Universe 2026, which will take place in Puerto Rico this November.

August 5, 6, 9, 25 & 29 at 1 Seminole Way in Hollywood

On August 5, Emmy Award winner and Dancing with the Stars alum and current judge Derek Hough will be treating his audience to a musical and choreographic journey across ballroom, hip-hop, salsa, tap, and more. Backed by an acclaimed team, this will be a true dance spectacle.

On August 6, Mumford & Sons, known for their poignant and confessional folk-rock sound, will be supporting their Prizefighter album, released in February of this year. Coming on the heels of 2025’s Rushmere, old and new fans alike will be sure to appreciate the band’s dynamic creative vision and inspired soundscape. 

On August 9, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Deep Purple, along with special guest Kansas, will be performing an electrifying set list of stadium-ready anthems from the past seven decades, including, of course, tracks from 1972’s critically and commercially lauded Made in Japan.

On August 25, legendary rock band Goo Goo Dolls, who have amassed four Grammy Award nominations throughout their impressive four-decade career, will be dazzling the audience with a medley of chart toppers such as “Iris” and “Name” as well as a selection from their newest EP, Summer Anthem.

On August 29, Brooks & Dunn, the Grammy Award-winning music duo recognized by the Country Music Hall of Fame, will be supporting their newest album, REBOOT II, with an evening of genre-crossing pieces and reimagined hits such as “Neon Moon” with Morgan Wallen and “Ain’t Nothing ‘bout You” with Megan Moroney.

Ricardo Montaner | Kaseya Center

August 29 & 30 at 601 Biscayne Boulevard in Downtown Miami

Argentine-born, Venezuelan-raised singer-songwriter Ricardo Montaner will be gracing the Kaseya Center as part of his El Último Regreso Tour, which marks the crooner’s farewell trip around the world. With a catalog spanning four decades of Latin-pop hallmarks, concert-goers can expect a mix of his signature ballads, such as “Tan Enamorados” and “Me Va a Extrañar,” as well as new takes on old classics.
