12th Miami Film Festival GEMS

Considered the prelude to the annual Miami Film Festival, GEMS promises a star-studded lineup this year. Showcasing 40 films from over 20 countries, the festival opens with South Korean director Park Chan-wook’s “No Other Choice”, followed by a Q&A session and the presentation of the Precious GEM Master Award.
The fall midseason event will also honor Ethan Hawke with the Variety Virtuoso Award, recognizing his remarkable contributions to the world of cinema. Fans of the cult classic “Clueless” are in for a treat, as the film’s iconic costume designer, Mona May, will be presented with the Precious GEM Award after a post-screening Q&A.
Charlie’s Angels star Lucy Liu will also be in attendance to receive a Precious GEM Award, following a live Q&A about her journey as a director, after the premiere of her award-winning film “Rosemead.”

13th Annual Vintage Auto Show at the Deering Estate

42nd Miami Book Fair

Miami's biggest literary event is back in its 42nd edition, celebrating more than 550 authors and stories from every genre. This week-long festival kicks off with an opening day block party headlined by Jump N’ Funk and featuring signings, readings, talks, and panels in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole.
The “Evenings With” series this year features writers like New York Times bestseller Daniel Silva, U.S. Poet Laureate Arthur Sze, environmentalist Bill McKibben, business icon Barry Diller, and acclaimed photographer and author Sally Mann, among others.
From November 21-23, the Street Fair takes over with 250+ exhibitors, live poetry, and bites from Smorgasburg Miami—free on Friday and always free for kids under 12.
