Moishe Mana has stirred up a lot of controversy and opposition among his Wywood neighbors, as he plans to develop land there.
Property owners in the Wynwood neighborhood of Miami have expressed their concerns about the development. At the planning committee meeting for the Wynwood Business Improvement District, several property owners that live near Mana’s development spoke up. They said that Mana’s plans for a 9 million square-foot development will “sap the life” out of the neighborhood and “cannibalize” it.
Regardless, Mana plans on filing for a Special Area Plan, as is required for the greater land density that he is wanting. The Miami 21 zoning code allows for this, but it must be applied for and approved before it can be made permanent.
