Chilean artist and poet Cecilia Vicuña’s monumental Quipu Gut is a nearly 33-foot “poem in space” crafted from red, unspun wool. The exhibition is inspired by the ancient Andean quipu communication system, weaving Indigenous traditions, mythology, and environmental activism to inform a profound meditation on water, blood, and womanhood.
Special Screening: An American in Paris | Coral Gables Art Cinema

Step into the captivating world of postwar Paris with An American in Paris, the beloved 1951 musical comedy starring Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron. Set against Gershwin’s jazz-influenced score, the Oscar-winning classic follows an American veteran and struggling painter whose life takes a turn when he falls for a young Parisian woman.
Part of Coral Gables’ monthly film series, the screening offers a relaxed cinematic escape with complimentary popcorn and a drink for city residents.
Taste the Caribbean Festival | Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden

Let your taste buds travel south at this vibrant celebration of Caribbean cuisine, culture, and music. From specialty cocktails and island-inspired dishes to live cooking demos and dance lessons, this daylong event brings the spirit of the tropics to Fairchild.
There will also be plenty of family-friendly activities to enjoy, including limbo, lime carry, a domino tournament, giant Jenga, carnival mask-making, and a self-care session with The Couture Spa.
Exhibition Opening Reception: Yuko Mohri, Amalia Pica, and Sarah Zapata | The Bass
September 17 at 2100 Collins Avenue, South Beach
The Bass’ fall season will be inaugurated with the opening reception of three exhibiting artists: Yuko Mohri, Sarah Zapata, and Amalia Pica.
Japanese contemporary artist Yuko Mohri shares her thoughts on Unviolated Imperfection, a kinetic installation exploring how chance, sound, gravity, humidity, and other environmental forces shape her work.
Drawing from weaving traditions, architecture, and her Peruvian heritage, Sarah Zapata discusses Against a State of Malevolence, an immersive textile environment defined by color, texture, scale, and movement.
Amalia Pica joins the conversation to explore Lecturas Posibles, which considers imagination, language, and play as essential tools for human connection.
All three exhibitions will run through next year. Part of the museum’s after-hours Third Thursdays series, guests will receive complimentary admission (with RSVP before September 10) and meet the featured artists.
Historic Landscapes of Florida | The Kampong
September 22 at 4013 South Douglas Road, Coconut Grove
Perfect for nature enthusiasts, celebrate the 25th anniversary of Rocco Ceo and Joanna Lombard’s Historic Landscapes of Florida, an award-winning book documenting 27 of the state’s diverse cultural landscapes.
The evening will also comprise the launch of an open-access digital edition of the book as well as a topical conversation with renowned landscape architect, theorist, and educator Rosetta S. Elkin.

Juanes, Rosalía, Gorillaz, and Aespa | Kaseya Center
September 4, 14–16, 18 & 26 at 601 Biscayne Boulevard, Downtown Miami
On September 4, Key Biscayne resident and Latin rock icon Juanes takes over the Kaseya Center for his World Tour 2026, bringing a career-spanning set that blends rock, pop, and Latin influences with music from his 2026 album JuanesTeban. Expect to hear staples like "La Camisa Negra," "Mala Gente," and "Yerbatero" alongside renditions of Metallica, The White Stripes, Willie Colón, and others.
On September 14 and 16, Grammy-winning Spanish superstar Rosalía returns to Miami with the LUX Tour. The ambitious arena production built around 2025’s acclaimed LUX album blends orchestral grandeur and avant-pop experimentation, with a set list that includes hits like “Saoko,” “Despechá,” and “Berghain.”
On September 18, Gorillaz bring their genre-defying The Mountain Tour to the Kaseya stage for a visually immersive night built around a quarter century of hits, including “Feel Good Inc.,” “Clint Eastwood,” and “On Melancholy Hill,” with Little Simz and Deltron 3030 joining the Miami lineup.
On September 26, K-pop stars Aespa will close out a month of musical performances at the Kaseya with their Synk: Complaexity tour. Fans of all ages will enjoy an entirely reimagined production with new songs and immersive, futuristic stage design.

Pundonor, September 18–20: Written and performed by Andrea Garrote, this story follows a university professor’s return to the classroom, where a sociology lecture unfolds into an intense examination of authority, vulnerability, and the power structures we unknowingly reproduce.

Opening Broadway in Miami’s 2026–2027 season is the Tony and Grammy-winning Buena Vista Social Club, which will run from September 29 to October 4.
