Rocking a name change and expanding its construction footprint, Diesel Wynwood launched condo sales this November. Representing the world’s first Diesel-branded condo project and Italian developer Bel Invest’s first development in the U.S., this 8-story condo project is planned to be everything but conventional. Located at 148 Northwest 28th Street, the “never boring” condo building will sit within walking distance from the Wynwood Walls.

For anyone thinking that this Diesel condo launch gives them déjà vu - you’re right. In March of 2020, developer Bel Invest had started a pre-sales launch, including signature Diesel apparel and art pieces with every reservation, but the project was shelved due to the pandemic. Now, with the Miami residential and condo market extremely strong, and travel bans lifted across the U.S., the development firm with projects in Italy, Spain and Germany, is moving forward with its branded condo project.

During this 20-month hiatus, Bel-Invest re-evaluated the project, changing its name from “Diesel Wynwood 28” to “Diesel Wynwood.” Unit count got bumped up by 16 condos to a total of 159 residences. Also, the building’s floorplans and amenities received some serious thought and improvements.

Diesel Wynwood will be a LEED-certified, 8-story, 159-condo development designed by Zyscovich Architects. The architecture firm is known as well as master planning major projects such as Downtown Miami’s Master Plan, Panorama Tower in Brickell, Midtown Miami, Wynwood Quarters, Fort Lauderdale’s Brightline station, the Lincoln Road Cinema, and more. 

Styled in the image of the Italian denim brand, Diesel Wynwood will feature unapologetic architecture and playful design elements inclusive of steel pillars and neon structural beams. In tune with its Wynwood setting, the residences will deliver “an audacious, unconventional, irreverent, rebellious, courageous, iconic, paradigm-shifting, eco-conscious way of life.”

The mid-rise building will be home to a mix of micro-studio to three-bedroom residences, ranging from 395 to 4,411 square feet in size. Each statement, loft-style condo will feature extra-high concrete ceilings, luxurious European brand finishes, optional modular walls, rough materials, and edgy textural treatments. Residents will further be treated to a range of WELL-certified amenities delivering pure air and customizable, smart-sensing climate control solutions to their homes.

Developers at Diesel Wynwood will also offer turnkey units, complete with interiors and furnishings by Diesel Living – the denim brand’s home décor line known for its contemporary meets rock-and-roll style. There will also be 14 penthouse units, complete with marble bathrooms and private rooftops with an optional Jacuzzi and summer kitchen.

Stepping into Diesel Wynwood, residents will get a sense of the unconventional world that lies ahead. Its two-story lobby, a combination of unusual geometries and steel mesh walls, will set the tone for what to expect.

The rooftop pool deck at Diesel Wynwood will be styled as an energetic space that can double up as an eccentric setting for social gatherings. There will be ample lounge space, fully customized with Diesel Living furnishings.

Prioritizing self-care, the mid-rise will be home to a European-inspired spa, complete with a natural body scrub station, rain showers, and a steam room. Residents will further be treated to chilled towels, infused waters, and ethically-sourced exotic organic teas.
