Miami Open: March 18 – 31

Hard Rock Stadium, 347 Don Shula Dr, Miami Gardens

After a rocking jazz festival, Miami Gardens will be ready to welcome the best in international tennis talent for this annual tournament. Personally, I am sad to see this leave Key Biscayne this year and end up in the Hard Rock Stadium, but the world is indeed always changing! This is one of the premier tennis events in the world and a must-see on most local and travel itineraries. For two whole weeks, Miami will be bustling with tennis superstars, celebrities, avid fans and lots of parties, making it one of the most exciting time of year to be here.

Miami Real Estate Market Forecast 2020 & State of the Market in 2019
Real Estate News Miami Real Estate Market Forecast 2020 & State of the Market in 2019
The Miami real estate market has been moving in interesting ways over the past few years. Some believe the market is bottoming out after a few years of softness, others think that we are set for another condo bust. Let’s take a look at the Miami market landscape and see where things may go from here. Let’s start with a brief history... The market crashed in 2008 along with the rest of the nation, and then from 2010-2015 the Miami market had a huge run-up in prices to the point that pretty much everyone who invested around 2010 made very significant profits. After the dollar strengthened in 2014, the very hot real estate market here in Miami started softening, as the Europeans and Latin American countries lost much of their purchasing power in the exchange rates (on the other hand, those who already had their money here made a killing). Since 2015-2016, the condo prices have gone sideways and down as inventory has increased, creating some pain for sellers and a great opportunity...
Top Miami Beach Neighborhoods Ranked for Public Transportation
Lifestyle Top Miami Beach Neighborhoods Ranked for Public Transportation
The reality is that for the typical visitor or resident of Miami Beach, they come to walk, bike, skateboard, and scooter around town, but it’s still important to know you public transit options. Getting around any city becomes that much easier when you have multiple public transportation options at your disposal. Miami, for one, has an intricate public transportation system that includes options like the Metrobus, Metrorail, Metromover, Tri-rail and the Trolley. In this blog, we’ve ranked the top Miami Beach neighborhoods on the basis of their ease of access to public transit systems, making it easier for tourists and locals to know how to cruise this coastal city. The reason you won’t see a super high score for any of these neighborhoods is because the only public transportation options are street-based (trolley and bus) without dedicated or preferred lanes as opposed to any public-transit-only lanes or dedicated systems like rail. Plus, the only public transit in and out of the...

Miami Beach vs South Beach: It’s All About the Lifestyle
Lifestyle Miami Beach vs South Beach: It’s All About the Lifestyle
There is quite a lot of confusion as to the difference between South Beach and Miami Beach. Where does one begin and the other one end? In many people’s minds South Beach is the glitzy, fun, sexy place they come and stay for a weekend and then head home to their cold, gray hometown. :) And Miami Beach is, well, what is Miami Beach? It’s actually quite simple. Miami Beach is a bona fide city which includes South Beach as one of its neighborhoods. Miami Beach is a sunny, laid-back subtropical island located just a stone’s throw from the city of Miami across Biscayne Bay. With its linear shape, the island of Miami Beach naturally lends itself to diversity in its neighborhoods. It has a few key neighborhoods and a handful more sub-neighborhoods, each of which has its own character and attracts its own distinct crowd -- from party-all-nighters to families looking for wholesome fun, beach bums to everything in between. And all of them meld into a total culture that makes Miami Beach so...
