The American Dream is bigger and brighter than ever. Record-breaking bigger.
The upcoming American Dream mall in Miami has been measured as being 40% larger than the current largest mall in the United States, the Mall of America in Minnesota.
By sheer numbers, American Dream has proposed 6.2 million square-feet. This is split between:
- 3.5 million square-feet of retail space.
- 1.3 million square-feet of tourist attractions, such as a water park, ski slopes, theme park, and more.
- 230,000 square-feet of entertainment spaces, such as theaters, sports, and others.
- 1.2 million square-feet of “common area.”
The current record-holder, the Mall of America, has 4.4 million square-feet in total, 2.6 million of which is dedicated to retail space.
Notably, Miami’s grand mall, Aventura Mall, has 2.7 million square-feet of retail space, but is currently expanding its territory.
