Calling all jazz lovers and musicians: it's the Miami International Jazz Festival of 2016. Coinciding with International Jazz Day, the last weekend of April promises heavy grooves and rhythms for all.
This year, three stellar venues help you wind down and beat those summertime blues. Between April 28 and 30, catch sensational performances at the Koubek Center, Little Haiti Cultural Center and a grand showcase at Julius Littman Performing Arts Theater.
City of Miami and the Miami Dade Department of Cultural Affairs are working together to bring you the best variety and style. The Miami International Jazz Fest Board of Directors has once again managed to arrange a stellar lineup. Get swept away by the flow and grace of The Rodriguez Brothers, Allan Harris, Mozayik, Natalia Sulca, and Roxana Amed. The palette of tunes include Straight-ahead, Latin Jazz, Cubop, Fusion and many more styles for a comprehensive peek into how the world of Jazz is evolving.
Aspiring musicians can volunteer and take the opportunity to chat directly with professionals to understand more about the nuances of the industry. Aficionado or not, enjoy this first-class international fest at a mere $20-30.
