Video: What’s it Like to Live in Mid-Beach – Miami Beach’s Hidden Gem!

Apr 12, 2023 April 12, 2023

We’ve all heard of and know about South Beach, but did you know Miami Beach is made up of three neighborhoods – each with its own distinct vibe and pocket neighborhoods? Mid-Beach, as the name suggests, makes up the middle chunk of Miami Beach and is easily the most underrated part of town. This hidden gem of a neighborhood was home to the original Millionaire’s Row of Miami, where glamor reigned and celebrities vacationed, and here’s why it’s making a resurgence and could be a fabulous place to call your next home.

Watch our video to find out what’s it like to live in this quieter, more upscale part of Miami Beach. We’re discussing lifestyle to shopping, dining to entertainment, walkability to beaches, housing options, schools – and even why it won’t be the ideal choice for some people. Yes, we’re getting candid here, so tune in below:

As mentioned above, Mid-Beach makes up the middle portion of the whole of Miami Beach. This sliver-like neighborhood sits right between popular South Beach and more laidback North Beach. Spanning from 23rd Street on Collins Avenue all the way up to 63rd Street, the neighborhood is bound by Biscayne Bay on the west side and the ocean on the east side. It connects to the mainland Miami via the scenic Julia Tuttle Causeway.

— What Makes Mid-Beach in Miami Beach a Great Place to Live?

Here’s why you’ll enjoy coming home to Mid-Beach…

Compared to South Beach, this is the less touristy, less retail, more residential, and more upscale part of Miami Beach. Plus, The Faena District is the major hub for entertainment in Mid-Beach. You’ll find a shopping bazaar, great hotels, plus plentiful art, culture, and dining options. For everything else, there’s South Beach close by.

Wellness & Sports

This golf lover’s paradise has 3 gorgeous country clubs in its vicinity - the private La Gorce Country Club, and the public Normandy Shores Golf Course, and Miami Beach Golf Club - all accessible within minutes. And one of Miami’s best and main hospitals, Mt. Sinai Medical Center, is located in Mid-Beach.

Nature & The Beach

Mid-Beach is famous for its private, less crowded, white sand beaches. You’ll also enjoy having several access points to the scenic boardwalk that connects this coastal neighborhood to South Beach and North Beach. If you're looking for a more established, relaxed, community vibe in a coastal, beach neighborhood, then Mid-Beach is definitely for you.

Architecture & Living Options

Besides housing several historic structures built in the iconic MiMo style, neighborhood

highlights also include the storied Fontainebleau Hotel, Soho Beach House, and Eden Roc Hotel. Some of the notable condo buildings in Mid Beach include 57 OceanBlue DiamondGreen DiamondMEI, and the Ritz Carlton Residences Mid Beach.

There are also plenty of new construction condos coming to Mid Beach, each meant to deliver curated luxury in an architecturally outstanding building and an exclusive sense of community, such as The Perigon, Aman Tower, and 42 Pine.

Opinions and Advice New Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Law Florida: Complete Condo Guide
Finding and moving to a new home can be a strenuous experience, even when you like the change you’re making. In this case, finding a new home comes with a whole new set of challenges only you and your furry friend can know. The law applies to all condos, apartments, and rental homes. Last updated on March 27, 2024.
